Leaving Kansas we are heading to Cleveland.

Our first stop is in Indianapolis IN. Indy is a good place to stop as it’s only 4.5 hours from KC.

This part of the country is beautiful. Lots of green.

On all the highways, turnpikes, and freeways there is rod construction. And I mean everywhere. You can really see the infrastructure money in action. It’s great to see all the infrastructure roads and bridges ding repaired in the red states. They voted against the infrastructure bill but happily take the money. At least our roads and bridges will be something Americans can be proud of.

To get to Indianapolis we drove through Illinois. Not much to say here, just that it is all farmland.

From Missouri through Illinois and on to Indiana you can see all the farms. In Missouri there are billboards that say…protect Missouri farms. There are also billboards that say…Thank your Mother for choosing life. And a lot of billboards about Christianity. This is the Bible Belt.

Ari is doing very well with the vacation. Dogs are creatures of habit and I know this is rough for her. Here she is in the hotel room.

We arrived in Cleveland and are staying downtown by the Rocket Mortgage Arena. We had dinner at Mable’s BBQ, we didn’t know until the Server told us that it was owned by Michael Simon, and that was because Mark mentioned that there was no Mac&Cheese at a BBQ restaurant. The Server said that Michael Simon owned it and want to have authentic Polish BBQ. I will say that the brisket and ribs were the best we ever had.

Tomorrow we are going to the Lake Erie waterfront with Ari and Thursday is the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

I hope you are enjoying my travel blog, it’s new tome and I’m really enjoying writing.
